The first classroom block as it looked before work began; building materials are unloaded at the school.

Building work began on the exterior walls to replace the ring beam above the windows and re-build the end apexes.

MAY 2011

The community was responsible for bringing bricks, water and other raw materials, which enabled the builders to make speedy progress constructing the roof and a veranda, replacing the floors and window panes, and plastering and painting inside and out.
