African Revival Golf Day

London Marathon 2010

25th April 2010
This year we have 7 fantastic marathon runners training to run the gruelling 26 miles in London to raise money for the children that we support in our projects in Zambia and Northern Uganda. We want to say a huge thank you and good luck to them, and if you are applying in the ballot for 2011, please think to nominate African Revival and get in touch with us at events@africanrevival.org so we can do all we can to support you.

Art and Literature Festival
Friday 4th-Saturday 5th June

We are very excited to be holding our Art and Literature two day festival at Kings College School, Wimbledon on the 4th and 5th June. We have a fantastic schedule including a wine and cheese evening on the Friday night and a picnic hamper lunch for the literary meeting on Friday afternoon. Targai Grove will be bringing a selection of wines from their medal winning australian vineyard to accompany the delicious cheeses for the evening event, and we have arranged some wonderful artists from the local area to display their work. We are thrilled to be holding a School Art Competition with an African theme, which we would like to encourage every art student from local schools to enter. All proceeds from this event will be put towards helping the children at school in the rural communities where we work. Nightrider Cycle Challenge

Saturday 19th June 2010 11pm
A fantastic cycle challenge through London at night, combining a 100km circuit with the finest of London's sites. This is a new challenge for 2010 which is 8 miles longer than the London to Brighton, but will be on the clear night roads and a completely new and novel experience. Masquerade Ball 2010 at the Savoy London

African Revival is very excited to be holding the annual charity ball at the Savoy in London following its 100  million pound renovation. This years masked theme means our guests can enjoy the opulence of the Savoy whilst experiencing a beautiful and extravagent  Masquerade Ball.

Zambia Bike Challenge 2011

20th - 29th May 2011 
Following the success and feedback from our 2009 Zambia Bike Challenge we are really excited to be running this event again in 2011.  For those of you who missed out on this awesome adventure last year, you now have the opportunity of joining us for the 500km cylce from Lusaka to Livingstone where you will not only get the opportunity to visit the African Revival projects, but also to experience the beautiful Victoria Falls and the wildlife of rural Zambia. Mount Kilamanjaro Trek

Women’s Adidas 5k Challenge

On 6th September 2009, 68 wonderful women, including a 9 year old girl, ran the adidas 5K Womens Challenge in Hyde Park to raise money for African Revival. We want to say a massive thank you to each and every one of them for participating in this event and supporting our work in Zambia and Northern Uganda.

1920’s Bootleg Ball

For 2009, African Revival held their incredibly successful annual charity ball at the stunning Park Lane Hotel, Piccadilly.The Bootleg Beatles and dancers from Swing Dance UK were fantastic as the entertainment, and the 1920’s Bootleg theme worked brilliantly with the decor of the hotel. We had a magical evening of speakeasy glamour, a delicious feast and champagne reception, in one of the most beautiful venues in London so if you didn't make it this year, make sure you do in 2010!

Zambia Bike Challenge, May 2009

On 16th May, 32 cyclists set off from Lusaka, capital city of Zambia, to cycle 500kms to Livingstone, home of the Victoria Falls. Although the final amount raised by the 32 cyclists has yet to be confirmed, it is already over £100,000. The feedback from the bike ride has been fantastic, and the African Revival team have described it as ‘a beautiful and inspiring journey through some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes. It was an epic challenge and a truly unique experience for a fabulous cause.’ We are thrilled that due to the success of the event, we will be running the Zambia Bike Challenge again in 2010, and a further Uganda Bike ride in 2011, so please contact us if you would be interested in joining us in either of these fabulous events.

London Marathon, April 2009

This year we managed to raise a fantastic £6,015 to put towards our projects so an enormous well done to all our runners and their fundraising efforts! We are hoping to not only match this but beat it in 2010. If you are interested in running the Virgin London Marathon for African Revival next April, and you either already have a place, or are looking to secure one, please contact us and we will do all we can to encourage your training and fundraising.
